Gar Forman No Longer Will Have Decision-Making Role With Bulls

Mar 20, 2020 11:04 AM

There remains some uncertainity what role John Paxson will have with the Chicago Bulls moving forward, sources tell Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Gar Forman, however, will have no seat at the decision-making table.

When reports initially surfaced that the Bulls were reorganizing their front office, it was believed Forman could be retained as a lead scout but that seems to no longer be an option.

Forman joined the Bulls as a scout in 1998 and worked his way up the ladder before finally becoming general manager in 2009.

ESPN's 'The Last Dance' Still In Production, Unlikely To Be Moved Up From June Release

Mar 18, 2020 12:08 PM

ESPN is not expected to release The Last Dance as some have speculated.

The 10-part documentary series on Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during the 97-98 season is scheduled to be released in June.

"Overall, any original content project that we can conceivably move up, we are obviously considering that, including films," said Burke Magnus of ESPN. "I know some have asked about The Last Dance and the reality is that the production of that film has not yet been completed, so we are limited there at the moment. Obviously, you can’t air it until it’s done."

ESPN Likely To Move Up Premiere Of 'The Last Dance' Documentary On Bulls

Mar 16, 2020 8:52 AM

ESPN is believed to be attempting to move up the premiere of 'The Last Dance', which is the long awaited 10-part documentary miniseries about Michael Jordan's final season with the Chicago Bulls.

The planned premiere date was set for June 2, which would overlap with the NBA Finals.

With a dearth of sports programming over the next few weeks, if not months, airing the documentary now would give a world living largely in quarantine 10 hours of new content.

ESPN has changed its promos for the documentary from "Coming in June" to "Coming Soon".

Chandler Hutchison To Undergo Surgery On Right Shoulder

Mar 11, 2020 3:17 PM

Chandler Hutchison will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday, March 17, to treat the acromioclavicular joint injury of his right shoulder. He originally sustained the injury on Nov. 27 after a direct blow in the game at the Golden State Warriors. He has continued to experience acromioclavicular joint pain despite undergoing a four-week period of prescribed rest and therapy, and surgery is deemed the appropriate course of action.

The projected recovery time is 12-16 weeks.
