Andre Drummond has lost approximately 20 pounds, lowering his weight to 285 pounds.

Drummond credits changes to his lifestyle.

“I think for me it’s just finding something that works for me,” he said. “In the previous years, it was kind of feeling it out to get my body in tiptop shape. Last year was the first year I really found what it took to get my body to where it needed to, and that’s a plan I’ve stuck with.”

The Pistons are changing direction this offseason under Dwane Casey.

“I think our direction is great, Drummond said. “Adding Dwane Casey as coach, having Blake (Griffin) and Reggie Jackson come back healthy, myself coming back healthy and in shape, just overall really, really excited for the upcoming season and just the new start and the new team.”

The Detroit Pistons have hired Sammy Gelfand, who had served as an analytics guru for the Golden State Warriors.

Gelfand traveled with the team as a back of the bench assistant coach. Gelfand was Steve Kerr's go-to guy for statistical research.

The New York Times did a glowing mid-playoffs feature on Gelfand, titled: “The Left Side of Steve Kerr’s Brain.”

The Detroit Pistons have hired Micah Nori to complete the coaching staff of Dwane Casey.

Nori was most recently with the Denver Nuggets under Michael Malone. Nori also spent 15 seasons with the Toronto Raptors.

The Detroit Pistons have requested waivers on center Eric Moreland.

Moreland, 6-10, 238, played in a career-high 67 games (three starts) and averaged 2.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.8 blocks per game.

The Detroit Pistons have agreed to a one-year $2.4 million deal with Zaza Pachulia.

Pachulia spent the past two seasons with the Golden State Warriors.

The Detroit Pistons have hired Gregg Polinsky as director of player personnel.

Polinsky will oversee the scouting department of the Pistons.

Polinsky previously worked with Ed Stefanski in the front office of the Brooklyn Nets.

The Detroit Pistons will waive Dwight Buycks.

Buycks averaged 7.4 points and 2.0 assists in 14.7 minutes per game in 29 appearances last season.

Jose Calderon has agreed to sign with the Detroit Pistons on a one-year, $2.4 million deal.

Calderon spent last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Glenn Robinson III has agreed upon a two-year deal with the Detroit Pistons worth $8.3 million.

The Pistons will have a team option on the second season of Robinson's deal.

Robinson signed a three-year deal with the Indiana Pacers in 2015.
