The Houston Rockets are signing Jermaine Samuels to a two-way contract. Samuels spent last season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the G League.
In six Las Vegas Summer League games with the Rockets, Samuels averaged 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists. The 6-foot-7 forward was a key contributor in Houston's run to the Summer League championship game.
In 50 G League games last season, Samuels averaged 15.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

The Houston Rockets have signed Joshua Obiesie to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract. Obiesie has played the last six seasons for teams in Germany.
The 6-foot-6 wing played last year for the Fraport Skyliners. He averaged 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 24 minutes per game off the Fraport bench. Obiesie turned 23 years old in May.
The Rockets have an open two-way spot on their roster. Obiesie could be converted to a two-way deal before the end of the preseason in October.
