The Memphis Grizzlies hired Ed Stefanski as the team's vice president of player personnel, according to sources.

Stefanski will assume a key role in the Grizzlies' player personnel and scouting. He will work under Chris Wallace.

Stefanski worked as a general manager with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Most recently, Stefanski worked under Bryan Colangelo as the executive VP of basketball operations of the Toronto Raptors.

The Memphis Grizzlies have narrowed their search for a new general manager.

Peter Dinwiddie and Glen Grunwald have advanced to the final stages of the search and will soon meet with Robert Pera.

Dinwiddie is currently vice president of basketball operations of the Indiana Pacers, while Glen Grunwald was previously GM of the Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks.

Iowa Energy GM Chris Makris will also meet with Pera.

Bobby Marks, assistant GM of the Brooklyn Nets, recently removed his name from consideration.

Vince Carter has agreed to a three-year, $12.2 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to sources.

The Dallas Mavericks hoped to keep Carter but were not able to afford to pay him as much as Memphis after extending an offer sheet to Chandler Parsons.

Mike Miller also announced he would not return to the Grizzlies.

Beno Udrih has agreed to re-sign with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Udrih will sign a two-year pact at the biannual exception.

Udrih was claimed off waivers by the Grizzlies following his release by the New York Knicks.

The Toronto Raptors and James Johnson have agreed upon a two-year, $5 million contract.

The Memphis Grizzlies had interest in re-signing Johnson, while the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets were also involved.

Johnson previously played with the Raptors between 2010 and 2012.

Mike Miller is close to agreement on a deal with the Denver Nuggets.

Miller is also being pursued by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Miller was amnestied by the Miami Heat last offseason.

The Houston Rockets would like to re-sign Troy Daniels, but he's also receiving interest from the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans, according to sources that spoke with RealGM.

Daniels became a playoff hero for the Rockets after his Call-Up from the D-League.
