Dion Waiters and DeMarcus Cousins have been named the NBA's Players of the Week.

Waiters led the Heat to a perfect 4-0 record for the week, helping to extend the NBA’s current longest winning streak to seven games, after averaging 23.3 points, 5.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 48 percent from three-point range. 

Cousins led the Kings to a 3-1 record, averaging 27.8 points (.444 FG%, .267 3PT%, .675 FT%) , 14.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in 36.1 minutes per game.

The Miami Heat have re-signed Okaro White to a second 10-day contract.

White, who was signed to a 10-day contract on January 17, appeared in four games with the Heat and averaged 3.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.00 blocks and 16.4 minutes while shooting 50 percent (5-of-10) from the field, 40 percent (2-of-5) from three-point range and a perfect 3-of-3 from the foul line.

Earlier this season, White appeared in 23 games (all starts) for the HEAT’s NBA Development League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, and averaged 18.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.09 steals and 33.0 minutes while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 86 percent from the foul line. He helped the Skyforce to a division best 16-5 record while ranking second on the team in points (424), rebounds (201), field goals made (144), three-point field goals made (38) and free throws made (98).

The Orlando Magic attempted to engage the Miami Heat recently on a trade for Goran Dragic. Miami has been open to considering trade offers for Dragic as they rebuild.

Orlando offered Nikola Vucevic and a future first round pick for Dragic.

With Miami already having Hassan Whiteside signed long-term, they don't have a need for another center in Vucevic.

Dragic can become a free agent in 2019 though he's signed through 2020.

The Chicago Bulls are already working on pursuing Chris Bosh if he becomes a free agent.

The Miami Heat are not expected to waive Bosh until after March 1st to make sure he's not playoff-eligible for another team.

Bosh's playing career future remains uncertain due to his issues with blood clots. Bosh himself is unsure of what the future holds.

Bosh could reunite with Dwyane Wade if he joins the Bulls.

White, who was originally signed by the Heat on July 15, 2016, previously appeared in six preseason games with Miami earlier this season and averaged 5.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 9.5 minutes. Additionally, he appeared in five games with Miami’s Summer League team in Las Vegas this past summer and averaged 8.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.00 steals.

The Miami Heat have been granted a disabled player exception and will sign Okaro White of Sioux Falls.

White was with the Heat in preseason.

White has averaged 18.4 points and 8.7 rebounds in 33.0 minutes over 23 games in the D-League this season.

Miami has four players that have missed three or more games (Chris Bosh, Justise Winslow, Josh McRoberts and Josh Richardson).

The Orlando Magic are one of multiple teams who have expressed interest in trading with the Miami Heat for Goran Dragic.

Miami gave up two future first rounders to the Phoenix Suns for Dragic in 2015 and will holdout for a sizable trade package in return for him.

Dragic has a player option after the 18-19 season but is signed on a reasonable salary considering the increase of the cap.

Dragic is averaging 19.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists in 34.3 minutes per game this season.

The future of Hassan Whiteside with the Miami Heat is uncertain just a few months after signing a long-term, four-year, $98 million deal in the offseason.

"I think the Heat are open for business," said Zach Lowe on a recent podcast. "Up and down the roster, literally every player. No one is untouchable, not even Hassan Whiteside, by a longshot."

Whiteside was asked about the speculation.

"I never really pay attention to it," the shot-blocking center said before the Heat faced the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena. "If I pay attention to it, I wouldn't be back in the league. There's all kind of rumors. A lot of people said of lot of things to keep me from being back in the league."

Miami now has an 11-29 record.

"I knew it was going to be a big change when we got nine new guys coming to the team," he said of the offseason makeover. "I knew it was going to be a lot different. It's a whole new team. But these guys, they care about winning, so it could always be worse."

The Miami Heat could look to continue their reset this season by trading away Goran Dragic.

But the Heat continue to have too high of a asking price for Dragic to encourage any serious trade talks.

The Heat acquired Dragic from the Phoenix Suns for two future first round picks in 2015.

Dragic is in Year 2 of a five-year, $90 million contract with the Heat.

The Miami Heat have applied for a $1.3 million disabled player exception with Justise Winslow likely out for the rest of the season.

"He's already recovering," Erik Spoelstra said. "We just Facetimed with him after the shootaround. So he's already on the rebound right now."

Winslow was injured on the final play of last Friday's loss to the Boston Celtics at TD Garden in a tangle with Al Horford and had not played since.

"There's a lot of things in this game that you can't control," Spoelstra said. "You can control your mindset and your approach with the hand you've been dealt from here on out."

The exception can be utilized on a free agent for a salary of up to $1.3 million for the balance of the season, or acquiring a player in the final year of a contract valued at $1.3 million or less, either through a trade or a waiver claim. The exception expires March 10.
