The NBA held its 2024 draft lottery in Chicago on Sunday with the Atlanta Hawks winning the top overall pick. The Hawks entered the lottery with just a three percent chance of securing the top pick.

Opposing NBA teams are monitoring head coach Chauncey Billups' situation with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.

Billups is entering the final year of his guaranteed four-year deal.

The team announced that they would not renew assistants Scott Brooks and Rodney Billups' contracts. 

The Portland Trail Blazers will not renew the contracts of assistant coaches Scott Brooks or Rodney Billups, sources told Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian.

Brooks was Chauncey Billups' top assistant, with Rodney Billups responsible for development and defense.

Steve Hetzel also left the Blazers bench for the Nets in late April.

The team plans to fill all three positions.
