Five-star recruit Caleb Houstan announced his commitment to Michigan.
Houstan, the No. 10 ranked player in the 2021 class, is the highest ranked Michigan commit since at least 2007.
Originally in the 2022 class, Houstan reclassified over the summer.
Houston pointed to Juwan Howard's background in the NBA as a deciding factor.
"He played in the NBA for 19 years and knows what it takes to get there and stay there. I think he can help me both on and off the court and in preparing to get to the next level. I know he's going to push me every single day in order for me to get better and develop as a player."

We have goals, dreams & championships to win! This is where my focus is," released Howard in a statement through the school.

Howard was a head coaching candidate for both the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers before he became head coach at the University of Michigan.
Howard worked as an assistant coach for several seasons under Erik Spoelstra with the Miami Heat.
Isaiah Livers announced that he will withdraw from the 2020 NBA draft and return to Michigan for his senior season.

Livers averaged 12.9 points and 4.0 rebounds last season.
College players have until August 3rd to withdraw from the draft.
Isaiah Todd has decommitted from Michigan and will explore his options to play professionally next season.
"We're exploring pro routes," said Marlene Venable, Todd's mother.
Todd will sign with an agent and could play overseas or domestically in the G League.
Todd is ranked No. 13 in the incoming class for 2020.
