Top Prospect Amari Bailey Commits To UCLA

Feb 18, 2021 1:26 AM

Amari Bailey announced his commitment to UCLA on Wednesday.

The shooting guard is ranked No. 3 in ESPN's class of 2022.

"He's a clever ball handler who changes his speeds and direction with purpose when navigating a defense. He's somewhat underrated as a versatile backcourt defender who will rebound and start the fast break. He owns an on-court presence and offensive instincts that remind me of D'Angelo Russell," said ESPN's Paul Biancardi.

Bailey is also a candidate to reclassify into the class of 2021.

Terry Porter Fired As Portland Pilots Head Coach

Feb 6, 2021 5:03 PM

Terry Porter was fired as the head coach of the Portland Pilots on Saturday.

"I would like to thank Coach Porter for his service to the University. The timing of these changes is never ideal, especially with all the disruptions this season that have been brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic," said Scott Leykam, Portland's vice president for athletics.

Porter was hired in 2016, but the program has yet to win more than four conference games in a season during his time.

The Pilots have won just one conference game since the 2017-18 season.
