The AP reports that Center Jim McIlvaine and the New Jersey Nets have agreed on a buyout of the final two years on his contract.

McIlvaine, a former star at Racine St. Catherine's High School and Marquette University, said he was a little disappointed with the buyout, which could be finalized as soon as Saturday.

"I'm keeping my options open, but Milwaukee has always been a team I thought would be neat to play for," McIlvaine said.

"I had Bucks' pictures on my wall growing up and I've always enjoyed playing there. The Nets gave us permission to talk to Milwaukee, and my agent has already talked to them. They said they were pretty full, but you never know, anything can happen."
