Glen Grunwald may have had an all-star summer in the eyes of most.  But Bill Harris of the Toronto Sun quotes Charles Oakley as saying, "We know (Raptors) management is soft."  After Oakley criticize Vince Carter's play early in the playoffs, his harsh words were the final straw for Raptors general manager Glen Grunwald and coach Lenny Wilkens, who had endured a season of Oakley-centred controversies.

Oakley also said, "As far as the GM (Grunwald), he don't have no (guts). That's why Butch (Carter, former Raptors coach) tried to take his job the year before."

Meanwhile the Chicago Tribune is reporting that after the Raptors 107-89 win over the Bulls in yesterday's preseason action Antonio Davis contiued his barrage against Chicago's management.  "Tim Floyd is a great man. He wanted me there, and I believed it. But he's not the general manager. He can't make those kinds of decisions."  Davis claims that the Bulls reneged on any offer, which Bulls GM Jerry Krause denies.

"We signed Eddie Robinson and then offered every nickel we had left to [Davis]?over $9 million a year," Krause said. "He chose to say no. That's his prerogative. And things worked out fine. I'm very happy with Oak."
