Forget the floor burns. Disregard the ability to knock down the clutch three-pointer.

Here is the reason guard Fred Hoiberg is any organization's dream.

"I'm never going to be a guy who causes controversy on a team," Hoiberg said after the Bulls practiced Friday. "Even if I think I should be out there in front of somebody, I'm not going to say anything. That's just my nature and the way I was brought up."

Hoiberg finds himself in a peculiar situation this season. The six-year veteran is coming off his best statistical season by far. He set career highs with averages of 9.1 points, 3.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds, tied for 14th in the league with a three-point percentage of .412 and played almost as many minutes (2,247) as he had in the previous five seasons combined (2,463).

His reward? Probably a sharp reduction in playing time.
