The Kings took Tuesday's no-defense experiment one step further Wednesday and didn't defend for the better part of three quarters.

At least they shot incredibly all game. And they finally kicked in the defense for a 112-107 victory over the Nick Van Exel-less Denver Nuggets before a national television audience and crowd of 16,780 at the Pepsi Center.

With the victory and the Lakers' loss to the Miami Heat, the Kings are alone atop the Pacific Division and have the best record in the NBA.
