The players on the Pistons' bench were standing, waving towels to whip up the frenzied crowd.
The Pistons on the floor were jumping around, pumping their fists into the air.
It was loud and crazy Saturday night at The Palace, befitting a roller-coaster ride of a Pistons win.
Chucky Atkins made a 17-foot jumper with 3.1 seconds left to give the Pistons a 94-91 victory.
"I am so happy my teammates had the faith in me to do that," Atkins said. "We've always stuck together through hard times. It felt great to hit that jumper."
Atkins' winning shot atoned for a critical mistake a few seconds earlier.
