The Denver Nuggets finally got some good news Saturday. It appears forward Antonio McDyess will return this season, and swingman Tariq Abdul-Wahad could play Tuesday.

McDyess had left knee surgery Oct. 12 to repair the patella tendon and was projected to return as late as February. The 2001 NBA all-star said Jan. 16 that if he didn't feel better in February, it might be best to sit out the entire season. But after playing well Saturday morning in his first scrimmage since the surgery and having no ill effects, McDyess expressed optimism about coming back in February, although he could not pinpoint his return.
