Forward Peja Stojakovic said he was not surprised by the deal that brought Nick Van Exel, Raef LaFrentz, Avery Johnson and former Kings first-round pick Tariq Abdul-Wahad to Dallas.

"Everything is possible in the NBA," Stojakovic said. "Everything is about business. I think it's a good trade for Dallas."

Stojakovic was asked if he could see LaFrentz spotting up behind the three-point arc. Scot Pollard's former teammate at Kansas has had two of his biggest games against the Kings.

"I'm seeing them all spotting up," Stojakovic said with a smirk. "The only guys who will post up are (Michael) Finley and (Steve) Nash. Nash posts up more than LaFrentz or (Dirk) Nowitzki."

Kings assistant coach John Wetzel has watched Dallas' Don Nelson use unconventional lineups throughout his coaching career and doesn't figure Nelson will stop now.

"I have to think they'll go small in the backcourt," Wetzel said of the Mavericks, the Midwest Division leaders.

"They'll play some type of junk defense, like Nellie always does.

"I can see him going with Nick and Nash in the backcourt with Finley, Nowitzki and LaFrentz up front and just trying to outscore teams. Nick is a 35-minute guy, and Nash is an All-Star. You're talking about them getting two All-Stars, basically, in Nick and LaFrentz."
