The Timberwolves imploded Wednesday night in the final minute of a 96-95 loss to Houston at Target Center.

But way before that, forward Gary Trent exploded.

Minnesota was trailing 46-43 with 10:21 left in the third quarter when Trent, starting in place of Joe Smith, chopped down on Houston forward Kenny Thomas under the basket and was called for a flagrant (1) foul.

Trent argued with the officials, picked up a technical and was thrown out of the game. But before he left the court, Trent was so incensed that on his way out, he grabbed a folder off press row and slammed it across the court.

When interviewed by a pool reporter, lead official Mike Callahan said only two words, saying Trent got the flagrant because his move was "unnecessary'' and he got the technical because he was "unsportsmanlike.''
