The Sacramento Kings looked the hungrier and more determined team in Los Angeles last night, the Kings leading big before the Lakers finished Game 3 strongly to win 103-90 and take a 2-1 lead in the playoff series.

The Kings were huge, Los Angeles struggling to come up with answers on how to contain Chris Webber and point guard Mike Bibby writes Mike Wise of the New York Times, the lead ballooning to 27 with 9:13 left in the game before Kobe Bryant and Lindsay Hunter hit a barrage of three pointers to get some respectability onto the scoreboard.  Bryant and Lindsay?s antics got the Lakers back to 12 points with 7:08 remaining, giving the team hope until Bibby and Webber went back to their Stockton-to-Malone type pick and roll to close out the game.

"If we don't figure them out pretty quick, we're going to be on vacation soon," Brian Shaw said from the Lakers locker room.

"We just got into a hole and never really got out of the hole," said Shaquille O'Neal. "We're not going to make excuses. We didn't play well at all. They played well. We now have a fight on our hands. We play better when we fight. We'll try to tie this thing up on Sunday and make it a best-of-three series."
