Ohm Youngmisuk of the New York Daily News reports: Last season, Byron Scott kept 14 players on his roster and the Nets reached the NBA Finals. So this season, the superstitious Scott plans on keeping 14 players again - even if it means cutting a player who was on the Nets' Eastern Conference championship-winning roster.

With Chris Childs starting the season on the suspended list and Jamie Feick's career likely over because of an Achilles injury, the nets will likely have to cut one player from a group of Donny Marshall, Brian Scalabrine, and Brandon Armstrong by today's 6 p.m. deadline

On a related note, the nets have applied to have Feick removed from their cap but a decision is not expected to be made before today's deadline.
