Liz Robbins of the New York Times reports: Chris Childs Childs and the New Jersey Nets will be parting ways today pending approval of their buyout agreement by the NBA.

If the NBA approves the agreement, the Nets will then waive Childs, making him an unrestricted free agent.

However, because he was not released before March 1st, he cannot be on a playoff roster. So, it's unlikely he will play again this season.

It is unknown how much money the buyout settlement is for.
