Steve Aschburner of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports: It's sounds like the payroll of the World Champion Los Angeles Lakers could be going up.

Owner Jerry Buss told reporters this week that he hoped to sign Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant and coach Phil Jackson to contract extensions, with a total possible price tag approaching $200 million.

Shaq could receive an extension worth $121.5 million over three years, which would contract him to the Lakers through the 2008/2009 season.

Bryant has been offered a three-year, $54.8 million extension but will likely wait to learn the terms of the next collective-bargaining agreement to see if he can squeeze a few extra bucks out of Buss. Bryant is currently signed through the 2004/2005 season, with a player option for that season.

Jackson is signed one more season after this one but it's questionable as to if he would be willing to coach beyond his current deal.
