The fallout from Game 6 in Staples Center: It's time to rebuild the Lakers.

Kobe Bryant turns 25 in August and Shaquille O'Neal is only 31, so it's not like they're too old to win some more titles. But now that the Spurs have passed the Lakers by, the pressure is on L.A. to overhaul its supporting cast.

The Spurs still have a substantial amount of money to put even more distance between themselves and the Lakers this summer. San Antonio is looking to use $14 million in cap space on Jermaine O'Neal or Jason Kidd.

The Lakers won't have the space to match the Spurs' offseason moves. They're committed to just under $60 million in payroll for next season, with Shaq ($26.5 million) and Bryant ($12.5 million) accounting for all but $18 mil. They've got several free agents, including Robert Horry, Brian Shaw, Samaki Walker and Tracy Murray. But being about $18 million over the cap, they'll have only their exceptions to offer free agents.
