Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe is very interested in Indiana free-agent center Brad Miller. But if the Nuggets don't land the all-star, Vandeweghe said he believes his team would have a solid group of core players plus the opportunity to add key newcomers.

The Nuggets, Utah, Miami, New York, Portland and Dallas are interested in Miller. Only Denver, Utah and Miami have money under the salary cap to offer Miller. The 7-foot, 261-pounder is expected to make a decision soon. Miller's agent Mark Bartelstein said Sunday that several teams have made offers.

"We're hoping to resolve it in the next couple of days," Bartelstein said. "We're certainly talking to (the Nuggets)."
