Lamar Odom came to Miami on Tuesday night and left Wednesday afternoon with no offer sheet from the Heat.

The Los Angeles Clippers restricted free agent, though, is still hopeful the Heat will make him an offer as early as today.

''We talked, and hopefully in the next 48 hours they can come up with something,'' Odom said Wednesday. ``[The talks] were very serious.''

Odom met with coach Pat Riley and the front-office staff at AmericanAirlines Arena, then Riley had a closed-door meeting with Odom's agent, Jeff Schwartz, to talk contract numbers.

The Heat, which has about $12 million to spend on free agents, is believed to be willing to offer Odom a six-year deal for about $60 million.
