The Pistons-Nets series figures to be one of the most intriguing of these playoffs, facing off the NBA's best defense against arguably the NBA's best playmaker.  As Steve Popper of the New York Times writes it is going to be a case of break or be broken for the New Jersey Nets.

"When there's two guys on the ball, somebody is going to be open," Kidd said Saturday at practice. "You just have to be patient and find them. There's no reason to get in a hurry, because that's the key in pressing is to try to speed you up."

"Their style is very much different," Frank said. "Last year, even though defensively they were one of the elite teams, they basically played you at 22 feet and in. This year, they'll pick you up full court. They'll be more disruptive. They force more turnovers.

"And they're playing the way Coach Brown has coached, at least as far as I've watched them. They're very, very active. They play extremely hard. They get their hands on a lot of balls ? flicks, steals, deflections, denials, disruptions. They have defensive-minded players and they have guys who maybe weren't known as great defenders. He's got them believing into playing the way he wants them to play."
