It's a new day for the Toronto Raptors as Rob Babcock has been hired as the general manager. Till now Babcock was the vice-president of player personnel with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Look for the Raptors to make two more hirings on Monday. Wayne Embry, a former Cleveland Cavaliers general manager will be named assistant GM. Along with him, Hall-of-Famer Alex English will join the Raptors as the director of player personnel. Last season, English was an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Vince Carter was pulling for Julius Erving to get the general manager position but with these latest additions, the Toronto star may ask for a trade.
