The NBA champion, Detroit Pistons, have made it a priority to re-sign their star forward Rasheed Wallace, thus returning the same, unbeatable team that cruised to the 2004 NBA title.

However, with all the trades and mega-contract signings that have been happening as of late, the price to keep the Wallace?s together may be too high.

For instance, Memphis has offered former Piston Brian Cardinal, the Warriors hustle player, six years and $39 million.  That is just one of the contracts being offered up to various ?role-players? throughout the league with Bruce Bowen, Mark Blount, Brian Skinner, and Rafer Alston rounding out the list.

Wallace has expressed his interest in vying for a repeat, but as we have witnessed with Carlos Boozer recently, that may not be enough.
