According to the New York Daily News, if Larry Brown leaves to take over the Cleveland Cavs, the Pistons job will go to Flip Saunders.

From what team sources say, the ex-Minnesota coach is the one and only candidate to replace Brown.

Nate McMillan's name has been floated for the job, but since he is likely to re-sign with the Sonics, he is not a serious contender.

Saunders was fired in February by the Timberwolves, less than one year after leading the team to the best record in the Western Conference.  That year the Wolves lost in the Western Conference Finals to the Lakers.
