Shareef Abdur-Rahim's agent Aaron Goodwin said he had no concern that the failed deal with the Nets would scare off other prospective teams for Abdur-Rahim.

About 10 teams expressed interest in Abdur-Rahim when free agency opened July 1, but that number may be smaller now that teams have had a month to commit to other players.

"I really hoped to be in New Jersey," Abdur-Rahim said after the deal crashed. "The Nets wanted to re-do the contract. I couldn't do that. I felt I already made concessions. If I was really worried about my knees, I would have taken four years. I understand their concerns but if I'm beat up, why give four years?"
