Bobby Simmons, one of several fresh faces on the Milwaukee Bucks, took a seat at the team's media-day gathering Monday at the Cousins Center, looked into the cameras and said, "I came to Milwaukee for basketball, not for anything like this."

Milwaukee police want to question the Bucks' new forward over allegations he assaulted a woman outside a downtown bar over the weekend, Lt. Mark Ciske told The Associated Press.

The 25-year-old woman told police Simmons fondled her and punched her in the face after she got into a car with him about 2 a.m. Saturday, Ciske said.

"There are two sides to a story, and we're looking to get his side," said Ciske, adding that he couldn't rule out arresting Simmons.

Simmons, who left the team's practice facility on his own Monday afternoon, said he's "very confident" he'll be cleared of wrongdoing.

"I'm cooperating, and beyond that point, this is mainly basketball I'm talking about right now," he said.
