Dallas Mavericks forward Keith Van Horn was scheduled to have an MRI and an X-ray on Tuesday to determine the extent of a hip injury that knocked him out of Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Van Horn banged into Lakers forward Kwame Brown for an offensive foul in the second quarter of a 109-106 Dallas loss. He was down for about two minutes, then was helped to the locker room and didn't return.

Van Horn said he was told there was possible nerve damage in his right hip.
