According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, City Council President Nick Licata laid out his ideas Wednesday for remodeling the Seattle Center, including a $20 million renovation of KeyArena.

That's just a fraction of the $220 million overhaul the Sonics and Storm owners are demanding.

If the Sonics don't like the deal, he said, the $20 million would be more than enough to convert KeyArena into a concert and performing arts venue, with room for sports.

"I don't think it should be up to the Sonics to shape what the future of Seattle Center will be," Licata said.
