The New Jersey Nets have named Bobby Marks as the team?s Vice President of Basketball Operations, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today. Marks had been the Nets Director of Basketball Operations since 2000.

?Bobby is a valued member of the Nets basketball operations department,? said Thorn. ?This promotion is well earned and well deserved.?

Now in his 12th season with the organization, Marks assists Thorn and General Manager Ed Stefanski in the areas of salary cap management, team travel and the day to day business of basketball operations.

In addition to his current title, Marks also serves as Director of Player Development. In this role, Marks help provide a smooth transition for new Nets players joining the team for the first time and helps assist current players with their everyday needs.
