Nets rookie Josh Boone may achieve the best-case scenario in an undeniably bad situation, the New York Post is reporting.

When Boone underwent July shoulder surgery, his sideline time was placed at 4-6 months. Now, with a green light for running on the horizon, his return seems far closer to four months than six.

"As far as I know, it's still on target for late November, early December at the earliest," Boone said yesterday. "So exactly, it's closer to four than six. Hopefully, it's going to stay that way."
