The Detroit Pistons announced today that they have assigned Amir Johnson to the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League.

Johnson, a second-year forward, appeared in four games this season averaging 1.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 5.3 minutes.  He played in three games for the Pistons last season averaging 6.7 points and scored a career-high 18 points at Milwaukee (4/17/06).

Drafted 56th by the Pistons in the 2005 NBA Draft, Johnson averaged 17.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 17 games last season with the Fayetteville Patriots of the D-League.
