The Toronto Raptors Chris Bosh and the Phoenix Suns? Steve Nash today were named Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for January 2007.

Bosh averaged 25.4 points and 9.1 rebounds while leading the Raptors to a 10-5 record for the month. Named last week as a starter for the Eastern Conference  All-Stars, he led the team in scoring 13 times and had game highs on 10 occasions.  Bosh also recorded three games with 14 or more rebounds,  and set a career-high of six blocks while leading the Raptors to a 90-77 win over Milwaukee.

Nash averaged a league-best 13.0 assists and added 18.0 points and 3.5 rebounds for the month. He set a new career-best with 21 assists in a win over Cleveland on Jan. 11 and totaled 208 assists on the month, the highest total  since John Stockton?s 208 in  March, 1995. He dished out double figures in assists in 13-of-16 games in January, had 12 double-doubles and helped guide the Suns to a 15-1 record, tying the best January record in NBA history.
