The NBA announced today that Stephen Jackson of the Golden  State Warriors has been suspended without pay for seven games for pleading guilty to criminal recklessness, in violation of the law  of the State of Indiana, and Ron Artest of the Sacramento Kings has been suspended without pay for seven games for pleading nolo contendre to  infliction of injury on a spouse, in violation of the law of the State of California.

Both  suspensions will commence with the first game of the 2007-08 NBA regular season.
