The Blazers should know more about Greg Oden's injured right knee on Thursday, when the 7-foot rookie center undergoes exploratory arthroscopic surgery. The procedure, which shouldn't last more than an hour, probably will sideline Oden for at least six weeks -- longer if doctors find serious damage.

Don Roberts, an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in disorders of the knee and sports medicine, will perform the minor surgery at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. Roberts, who has been the Blazers' team physician since 1994, has extensive experience in knee arthroscopy, including reconstruction and treatment of anterior cruciate ligaments, meniscus and articular cartilage.
