Heat coach Pat Riley was asked over the weekend if he had a solution for his lineup questions at small forward and shooting guard.

"I'm not even thinking about that. I'm thinking about getting the team right," he said. "And on opening night, I'll throw some names in there. Hopefully, guys will have played better and gained some confidence."

The answer was as convoluted as the Heat's perimeter situation, especially with shooting guard Dwyane Wade expected to miss at least the first three weeks of the season as he rehabilitates from May knee and shoulder surgeries.

"We've still got a couple of weeks, and there's a number of things you can do," said Riley, whose team opens Nov. 1 at home against Detroit.
