While Ben Gordon sits to rest a sprained ankle, conspiracies suggesting that he is deliberately sitting out in protest about extension discussions with the Bulls are wrong, according to the Chicago Tribune.

"I would never do that," Gordon said after individual shooting drills on Wednesday. "Did somebody say that?"

"It really doesn't matter to me. I know how much I love the game. Regardless of what anybody says, I wouldn't just be sitting out."

"My trainer, we've taken X-rays, MRIs. ... If fans or whoever are saying that type of stuff wants to look at those, they can feel free to come and check it out."

Gordon also touched base on the Kobe Bryant to Chicago rumors, which would almost certainly include him should it come true.

"That's just hearsay," Gordon said. "That's what everybody thinks. But right now I'm here. I don't want to play anywhere else. I'm just worried about my ankle right now, just trying to get healthy. I'm not worried about anything else. We'll see what happens."
