Suns' Coach Mike D'Antoni has told GM John Paxson that he wants to be the next coach of the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

It is unknown whether Paxson will hire D'Antoni, who still has two years and $8.5 million remaining on his Suns' deal.

Paxson and director of player personnel Gar Forman interviewed Nuggets' assistant Mike Dunlap on Saturday in Denver, then when it was revealed that Steve Kerr had taken a step back from initially denying D'Antoni to talk with other teams, Paxson moved on to Phoenix.

While Paxson did not comment, the report suggests that he did enjoy his meeting with D'Antoni.

Paxson still wants to interview former Mavericks' Coach Avery Johnson before making a decision.
