The Bulls have shut down rookie guard Derrick Rose for the remainder of summer league play because of tendinitis in his right knee, according to The Chicago Tribune.

Rose will undergo an MRI, but the team insists that the condition is not serious. General Manager John Paxson claims that the rookie will undergo a leg-strengthening program once he returns to Chicago.

"They say it keeps happening because I'm young, and my legs aren't strong enough," Rose said earlier this week.
