A decision on whether or not to sign guard Petteri Koponen to a contract might not happen for a while, Kevin Pritchard told the Portland Tribune.

The 6-4 guard from Finland, a first-round draft pick of the Blazers in 2007, has a number of multi-year offers on the table from top European teams. Part of the reason for the delay, Pritchard said, is Nate McMillan?s involvement as an assistant coach with the U.S. Olympic team.

?I?m still not sure,? Pritchard said. ?There are so many things going on right now. I don?t want to tell you one way and have it come back the other way.

?Among our questions: What (European) team would he play for next year? Does it give him the best chance to improve overseas? Or would he be better off here? There?s a lot that goes into the thought process there.?
