The Grizzlies claim that recently-acquired guard Steve Francis will soon report to the team.

Memphis traded for Francis on Dec. 24. Francis took and passed a physical but has yet to join the team permanently.

It is unknown whether Francis will immediately figure into the rotation.

"It's too early," coach Marc Iavaroni said. "We'll see what kind of shape he's in."
