Clippers owner Donald Sterling went on a tirade in the team's locker room after a 28-point loss to the Spurs on Monday night, according to a team source.

Sterling ripped into the players and expressed confidence in coach/general manager Mike Dunleavy, putting the team's future in Dunleavy's hands.

"Bottom line is he stated some views and everyone understood the views he took," said Dunleavy.

The tirade might not have had the effect on the players that Sterling hoped it would.

"I really can't say did it help or did it motivate us," Al Thornton said. "I can't go either way with it."
