Lakers coach Phil Jackson says that his team isn't aiming to win 73 games this season.

"I don't want the players to set that as a goal. That's not a goal," Jackson told the Los Angeles Times. "The goal is to go through the season in orderly fashion and build momentum to the end of the year."

The Lakers went 65-17 even with center Andrew Bynum missing 32 games because of a knee injury last season.

Jackson coached the Bulls to a record 72-10 mark during the 1995-96 season.
