The Suns are looking to reduce point guard Steve Nash's minutes this season.

It's been a common theme in Phoenix in recent seasons, but Nash himself doesn't buy into it.

He understands the concern but told the Arizona Republic that there is "a fallacy that's created about my durability."

Suns coach Alvin Gentry sometimes forces Nash to sit out practices and tries to give him long rests when possible.

"It doesn't matter to me," Nash said recently. "I take care of myself and prepare to play all summer. I'm not out playing golf or drinking. I feel like I can handle it."

"If I play 37 a game for the season, that's OK."
