Lakers coach Phil Jackson is concerned about his team's defense and turnovers through the first few weeks of the season.

"I'm not real happy with our defense," he said after practice Saturday. "... We can be a better defensive team."

Los Angeles is allowing 98.7 points per game, which ranks them in the middle of the pack.

"Turnovers is another thing I'm always focused on," Jackson added.

The Lakers are committing 14.6 turnovers per game, 12th-highest in the league.
