Dwyane Wade has had successful stints at point guard recently, but Heat coach Erik Spoelstra doesn't plan to start him at the position.

Wade's minutes at point guard increased during the team's recent four-game road trip and he responded by averaging 26.8 points, 8.7 assists and 6.7 rebounds as Miami went 2-2.

Despite his success, Spoelstra says that Wade still does his best work off the ball.

"It's something he's not only comfortable with, but it's produced positive results," Spoelstra said of Wade playing point guard. "It's also something that gets him going, frees up space for him in the open court. But I don't ever plan on starting him at [point guard] or playing the majority of his minutes there. It does give us a different look and you're seeing more teams starting to go to this."
