Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas could return to practice with the team as early as Friday.

Thomas has been sidelined for six weeks following surgery to repair a fractured radius in his left forearm.

"He has been doing some non-contact stuff and feels good," coach Vinny Del Negro said. "We've missed Tyrus' athleticism and his ability to come across and block shots and defend."

Thomas is averaging 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this season.
