Lakers center Andrew Bynum has struggled recently due to both foul trouble and an illness.

His recent numbers are down from his season averages of 16.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

Bynum fouled out in just 11 minutes against the Nets and had five fouls in 24 minutes against the Bucks.

He is dealing with a nagging upper-respiratory infection that hampered him on the Lakers' recent road trip.

"It was tough, no doubt, but it's just something I have to play through," Bynum said.

Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson noticed a difference in the center.

"I thought physically he struggled the entire trip." Jackson said. "He was sick the day we got to Chicago and had to fight his way through it. That obviously limited his amount of time (on the court) because he also suffers from asthma. So with that kind of sinus problem, you're just not going to get the kind of response you want to get from your body."
